By Danielle Vanzandt The Gin Rickey was a chance to see Alex, who is introduced in The Hot Toddy, finally get a chance to have some romance magic of his own! Alex begins waiting tables at The Other Team to help cover costs while going to school during the day. A little bit snobbish he tends to judge a book by its cover, which is why he never thought to take a second glance at Ricky.Ricky may look like a bad boy on the outside but inside is a heart of gold. Ricky noticed the nerdy waiter from day one and he can’t wait to get his hands on Alex! Will Alex give him the chance to show him there is more to him than some tats and a bad boy smile?The Gin Rickey takes off like a lightning bolt and sizzles just as hot! I wanted to hate Alex at the beginning for being a bit judgy but you can’t help but love his shy nerdiness! Ricky had no problems getting into my heart. The man is a go getter and is just a steamy as the man he is going after! The ending to this couples story was my favorite (get ready for Ricky’s secret!) Full of crazy antics and more glimpses of past couples The Gin Rickey was a good way to end this series of shorts.

Another terrific short, sweet and sexy read By Kate Douglas I've been on a Renee George kick the past couple of days, and today I read the third in her CockTails series, The Gin Rickey. I definitely need to try the different drinks each story is titled after, and the author has kindly added the recipes to the books, but there's a whole lot more in a very short novella than a recipe. Alex and Ricky couldn't seem more different, and yet the two men discover they're a lot more alike than they expected. The sex is hot, the story sweet and sexy, and I"m really glad there will be more with these characters coming in July. After reading all three, I can honestly say that each one of the stories was "the best" while I was reading it, and then I'd think the same about the next one. They're all really fun, and I definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a short, yet satisfying read.

Liked Todd and Tucker, but I have to say, Ricky and Alex are my favorite couple. I love Ricky's past and hope we learn a little more about it at some point. Watching Alex give in to his baser instinct and having the two go at it in the supply closet? Priceless! IN part II we are promised to watch as Alex introduces his new boyfriend to his parents. Now...won't that be fun? And I can't help but wonder if they might end up in one of his parents' closets?A definite must read!I received a complimentary copy for an honest review.
