1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. 3.5 Guitars for Ghost of a Singer By Backstage Blogs I read the first chapter of this book in the end of a book I was finishing by the always awesome Bella Jeanisse, and I was very intrigued. When I realized it was available through Kindle Unlimited, there was no further hesitation, and I had started it minutes later. As a huge fan of rockstar romances, I was easily sucked right into this one. The heroine comes from a family of rock royalty, though she had privately been disowned by her father, and the leader of one of the hottest bands around, who happen to be in town to do a benefit concert to help save the community center that has become her passion in the years since she has been distanced from her father's world, has a semi-accidental "meet cute" with her. From there on it is pretty much a non-stop roller coaster ride.I liked the premise of the story, but I think, perhaps, there was simply too much going on. I found it diffficult to really connect with any of the characters because the story had so much going on in so many different directions. As I was able to read it in just a few hours, I think it could definitely benefit from being drug out a bit more to allow the reader to connect more, especially with Chase and Freya, the hero and heroine. I did like both characters, but can't say I loved them for the above reasons. The story does have a lot of potential,so I hate not being able to rate it higher. I also noticed a few editing eroors; not enough to truly distract me from the story, but enough to be noticeable.As the sex scenes happened behind closed doors, I don't feel warnings are needed for this one. I wou.d definitely be willing to reread and reconsider my rating if some of the issues I mentioned were addressed. I truly wanted to love this, but just wasn't able to.
