Having discovered during this tour that Jet is not the rock star, man-whore the media portrays him to be, but instead a talented, caring, music professional who’s highly respected amongst his peers, Charlie has to maintain her professional appearance and keep her heart guarded to get through the interview.Jet loves music and the fans but not the “rock life” image, so he tries hard to keep his personal life personal. By Chera Hudson Jet, the 6th episode of Secret Confessions: Backstage – is the hottest of the series and one story I’d like to see continued. Jet is the real drive behind The Screaming Tuesdays, the real master of their music. All the Tuesdays are talented in their own right, but Jet is the total package, even though his voice is his instrument on stage, he can play all instruments well (though he demurs about bagpipes). He is obsessive about his notebook, where he keeps his works-in-progress, his thoughts and his secrets. He has been wanting to get his hands (mouth, body) on Charlie since he first saw her on the first day of the US tour.Charlie has been embedded with The Screaming Tuesdays since the beginning of the US tour. A reporter looking for the ‘in-depth true story’ about the band, the tour and the individual Tuesdays; she has kept her distance from all the members of the band and their support team. She wants nothing to tarnish her reputation as a reporter and devalue her work. She knows how quickly her reputation can be lost if she is linked to anyone she interviews. She has been painfully aware of Jet from the first moment and has delayed his interview until the last.The last day of the tour, the last night, after the last concert, Charlie is scheduled to do her in-depth interview with Jet. Jet made a decision to avoid alcohol for the US tour; he states he’s not an alcoholic and it is just a personal choice. The Tuesdays have been betting against him, but the US tour is over and the betting pool is unclaimed. Yanis brings Charlie to Jet’s suite just as he’s about to shower off after the performance. By Julius Crowder I'm always impressed with people who give of themselves to help young people realize their ambitions and dreams. Taiia Smart-Young does just that in her humorous but honest book "Famous! How To Be The Star Of Your Show." Her own accounts of adolescence and strict parental guidance gives an insight into her character today that gives depth and weight to what she is saying to young people. I'm so honored to have been given an autographed copy of this book because it has a lot of wisdom that in my senior phase of life can draw from today.

About the Author Rose B. Fischer is speculative fiction author and creative entrepreneur. Her current project is The Foxes of Synn, a low-tech science fantasy serial. She is a survivor of domestic violence who lives with multiple disabilities. In the early 2000s, she became homeless after leaving her abusive spouse. She later entered a transitional housing program while attending college. These experiences inspired her to begin writing non-fiction, and have had lasting impacts on her approach to fiction writing. She publishes science fiction, science fantasy, horror, and biographical essays. On her website, she writes about the intersection of storytelling, social responsibility, art, and pop culture in the internet age.

Fresh New Take on the Vampire Genre--One You Cannot Put Down By Crystal For a while, the Twilight series attempted to water down and desecrate the vampire genre. While it was not the only offender, the series was pervasive enough to turn people away. The genre has been revived and improved upon in this novel. Obsidian is a visceral, beautifully-written story that seamlessly merges supernatural elements with realistic situations, avoiding clichés with a fresh narrative. The shifting points of view gives readers a though journey into the lives of characters that were already interesting. You feel as if you know Emily, William, and even Trevor by the end. The erotic passion and violence is well-balanced with moments of clarity as our characters adapt to their strange new surroundings. Somehow, one could envision these events playing out, and that makes the whole experience more mesmerizing. This is a page-turner that will stay with you long after the first read. I am looking forward to more work from this exciting new author

From the first paragraph I was sucked in to Emily and the glimpse of tragedy tinging her memories. It gives you a private window to sneak a peak into someone else's life story. The author makes the reader care about the woman who survives devastation, numbly moves through what remains of her lonely life, and finds hope and love out of the darkness. The novel was fast paced and yet allowed time for the reader to identify with the characters, whether loving or despising them. The main characters were surrounded by solid and well fleshed out minor characters that helped the reader feel the impending rush toward the climatic ending. A great read and a treat from a previously unknown author. I hope that Ms. McDaniel continues to publish her works for the reading community to enjoy. Kudos.

Between discovering why Connie was resisting being hypnotized and how the story took Spencer and Liz's relationship to a different level, the story was engaging with some great surprises. About the Author

In his teens, Russell Heath hitchhiked to Alaska and lived in a cabin on the banks of the Tanana River. In his thirties, he sailed alone, in a 25 foot wooden boat, around the world. In his forties, he wrote novels. And in his fifties, he bicycled the spine of the Rockies from Alaska to Mexico. He’s worked on the Alaska Pipeline, as an environmental lobbyist in the Alaska Legislature, and run a storied environmental organization fighting to protect Alaska’s coastal rainforests. Several years ago, he moved to New York City to dig deep into leadership development and coaching. He now coaches business and non-profit leaders as well as people who want to live rich, hand-crafted, masterful lives.

By Pamyla Love Broken Angels is well written with words that painted the varied Alaskan landscape with such richness to detail all my senses were activated, and the depth of each character was complex and believable. I felt immersed in each character and felt a witness and a part of each one's experience. It was like I could step into each characters shoes. While it was an engaging mystery, I feel Russell Heath truly tapped into something far deeper; the mystery of being human. The inner landscape of our being like Alaska with the right conditions can be soft and beautiful and full of light, or harsh and unforgiving and full of darkness where we give no second chances. Each one of these characters, is truly is an angel. Each one took action based upon flawed or broken beliefs, judgments, and assumptions based on their model of the world, leaving a trail of broken spirits. By the end, I felt only compassion for each character. Long after I put this book down, I continued to reflect on these characters. This novel has made an impact and opened me up to the broken angel in all of us, and perhaps the compassion I developed for the characters, I will be able to carry into the "real world" I am richer for having read this book.

However, I couldn't put this book down. The characters were so well defined. And the story had such rich detail that you do not want to over look a thing! If you like Stephen King novels and or watch the tv show Criminal Minds..well this will blow you away. Great investment of time. Took me about 4 days to finish. I look forward to reading more from Russell Heath.

He crafts a wide-ranging view of political history, philosophy and religion; romps through early twenty-first century current events and current cultures; forges a panoramic view of technology 500 years hence and hypothesizes societal evolution and responses to those "advances." Unlike most of the dystopian genre, in Nihala humanity persists because human qualities endure. Read this story thoughtfully, ponder the hints and teases the author plants along the way, and be surprised, or maybe not, at the adventure on which he leads you.

Why am I here?" send Kayla, an orphan crippled since birth, on a lifelong quest to discover her true identity and purpose. Exiled by her village, she finds incredible strength from within to take on unimaginable trials and discovers who and, more importantly, WHAT she is. Nihala is an epic tale of love, loss, betrayal and hope. A page turner from cover to cover, this reader wished the journey had not come to an end.

One who has a tremendous talent for bringing portraits to life. I was curious to see how his artistic , imaginative talent would translate in a literary endeavor. I was impressed by his style, pacing of the story, unique characters and metaphors for the future. It is a well written novel, hence the 4 stars .There are two stories in this novel. The first is a highly imaginative science fiction story that builds upon our current dilemma of technology vs. natural resources. It builds a wonderful, insightful look at the costs to humanity of living in a completely technological world. Unique characters are well fleshed out to build the setting, drive the plot, and reach a satisfying climax and denouement.The second story in this book is the incorporation of atheistic dogma intertwined with the science fiction. There is a deliberate incorporation of almost every argument that atheists use to deny God and proclaim their freedom only in a Darwinian natural evolutionary world. It is a theme that life has no supernatural mystery, only unexplained science. Science wins all cultural wars. The irony in this science fiction novel is that God and religion are designated the true science fiction.I would have preferred the building of the first story, without the indoctrination of the second. It could have stood well on its own. This book will appeal to those who like a great philosophical discussion.To those readers whom are deeply committed to their religious beliefs, I will quote Dorothy Parker. "This is not a book to be tossed lightly aside. It should be thrown with great force."
