Rebellion is dangerous; you can’t know where it’s going to end or what damage it’s going to do. Astraea is dangerous as well--dangerous to Cal Chesterfield's peace of mind. She's been a rebel for years, delving into things foreign to Cal's more conservative nature, but she appears to want to change. Unfortunately, she’s been wayward so long, it’s possible she can’t learn to simply be herself. Cal wants to change, too. He's too staid, too conventional, and he's been a failure at making relationships work. It is time for Cal to step out of the square box he's built for himself and try something different, someone different. Astraea is a perfect change of pace. But can Cal really change and loosen up? More importantly, can Astraea calm down and find a way to love herself so she can love another?

The man isn't superman, in fact he feels like he lives in his brother's shadow. He's still hot, of course. The girl is unlike any character I've come across and I enjoyed getting to know her. The story is more realistic than the typical spanking romance where the Dom is sure about everything and the sub falls in love at first sight. This is a must read for dd fans.

Spanking stories aren't usually my go-to read, but I really enjoyed this one By Kassandra Wylde Astraea and Cal's love affair is both stormy and steamy, with equal parts conflict and seduction. Astraea is a brat who consistently makes poor choices, while Cal is domineering and more than willing to punish. Together they heat up the pages and quickly have you hoping that they can work things out. The first chapter had me a little confused about whether Cal was a strong, capable alpha or a whiny, jealous wimp, but the rest of the book helped to put him in a good light. Also, Astraea seemed awfully immature for a 23-yr-old, but it definitely helped her bratty persona. Putting the couple of doubts aside, I really enjoyed the story and would love to read more from this author.I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

TIME TO MOVE FORWARD AND LEAVE THE PAST BEHIND By Redrabbitt This is an extremely emotional story of a woman who wants to be loved and accepted and goes about it in a destructive way before she meets Cal Chesterfield. Her parents have really done a number on her with their rejection and the only love she really has known was from Granny. Astraea is definitely a rebel, Goth look, lackadaisical attitude, no self-respect, but it is all a barrier to try and not be hurt again. Cal was hoping for a change in his own life, but wow, Astraea comes as a shocking change, sometimes opposite attract. The plot kept me captivated, the dialog is raw and honest, full of emotional and heartache. Can Cal and Astraea work past her painful past, learn self-respect and find that happy medium?
