Review Eurosport International: Greg LeMond: "This is the number one book for cyclists, It's all about what you eat." --Eurosport InternationalAs you might expect, every recipe is made from scratch and refined products such as sugar and white pasta are noticeably absent. Instead there is a feast of fresh vegetables and fruit as well as meat and fish. From evening meals to bread, salad dressing, race snacks (including home made hazelnut spread with 70% chocolate!) and even sugar-free carrot cake with vanilla yogurt and apricots: this is a recipe book for a very healthy life, as well as a treat for anyone who enjoys cooking. It cleverly balances insight - find out how the cyclists eat on race days and rest days, and be reassured by the fact that half of the cyclists struggle with their weight - with in-depth advice on sports performance nutrition. Meanwhile the tasty recipes will keep you coming back for more. They are beautifully photographed, easy to make and just delicious to eat. My copy has taken pride of place on the kitchen shelf, wedged between Anna Jones A Modern Way to Eat and Jamie at Home, and has become a go-to for mouth watering suppers and healthy snacks. --Velovixen Blogperhaps the grand tour cookbook would be the best investment you ever make The photography pertaining to each meal is quite exemplary. printed on heavyweight art paper, the illustrations will have the reader salivating over several, if not all of the examples shown. the serious contemporary cyclist spends a large fortune on carbon fibre, virtually spokeless wheels and apparel that all but defies aerodynamic drag. this might all amount to very little if the engine isn't firing on all cylinders in the first place. --The Washing Machine Post blog

By Mrs Line Page We are not an athletic family but my children 10 and 11 absolutely love Hannah's recipes. We have been making spring rolls and noodle soup together lots of times and have tried several of the other dishes all of which are delicious and healthy. My larder is now always stocked with fresh limes and rice noodles plus and of course a slab of date brownies. I love the meat directions for chicken, pork shoulder and lamb shank. The gluten free seed bread is ideal for freezing and all the cooking instructions are written in a relaxed style which means you don't have to be an expert to cook delicious food.

She is both a nutritionist and a true world-class chef (check out her bio), and this book reflects that. Her approach to what has been termed “performance cooking”, which is well explained in the forward sections of the book, relies on a modernist approach to cuisine, reflective of her Noma roots, put together in a very healthy, well balanced manner. Her recipes are innovative without being contrived, and are straightforward and easily prepared. The results are artful, incredibly pleasing and satisfying while being both refreshing and restoring. If you are looking for a guide to exceptional food from a top chef, that you can readily prepare and eat every day for the rest of your life, and feel good about it, get this book. If you do, be sure to read the front matter (~30 pages) ahead of the recipes – you will probably learn a few things that will help you both in the kitchen and at the dining table.
