By Losman Adventures in Homicide and Heartbreak is the 4th book in the "Adventures in" series and is best of the series yet! #4 finds Kait falling even more in love with Ethan as the days go by. She's in love and she has started her unpaid internship at the police station working for Detective Dixon a couple of days a week, what more could a girl ask for! Life is Perfect!Then one day at the station Kait overhears yelling in the interrogation room and decides to try and get a better view of whose inside. Much to her surprise it's someone she knows. Troy, her ex-bff Ariel's boyfriend. Kait freaks out and calls Ariel, which starts a snowball effect of bad things.Still Kait can't leave a friend in need and agrees to investigate the case with Troy, even though it makes Ethan very unhappy. I love when Troy tells Kait, "You're driven to solve mysteries. Nobody should make you feel ashamed of that."This book has even more mystery, ups and downs and heartbreak than any of the previous books. I can't wait to see what new adventures Kait will get into in the next book with Suzie and Kyle in Paris, The City of Love!If you love mystery and romance you must read this series! It's awesome and you won't be able to put it down! I received this in exchange for an honest review.

I enjoyed it immensely despite the frustration I had because of the main character, Kait. Kait and Ethan are definitely in love, but they both are learning what it really means to be in a relationship. Ethan voices his worries and concerns to Kait about her murder solving and sleuthing, but her passion for finding solutions and answers has not changed. In the midst of all these issues, Troy has a new case against him and Kait cannot stay away from it. Troy definitely has feelings for Kait, so he uses his case as a chance to get close to her.Kait drove me insane in this book! She doesn't have a mother figure in her life to discuss dating and relationships, so she has much growing up to do. The writing was very solid. I could not put the book down! I would love to see this series turned into a television show! Here's hoping...

Then you get to the last few pages of chapter 10 and it BLOWS UP from there!! You know it is a good read when you end up talking to the book lol!! Like telling Kait how dumb she is when she give Ethan her ..... (Read the to know what ..... is chapter 10) at the lunch table at work!!I could not put this book down after it blew up with everything falling apart and it just keeps going down hill from there!! What a rollercoaster.
