A dark twisted novel that will have you second guessing everyone By Serena Kay I received a free copy from the author in exchange for an honest review via Goodreads.First I need to say that Jaye is an amazing writer, I was tense, stressed and on an emotional rollercoaster the entire story. Going from "time to take a break and breath" to "just one more page" until I had finished without getting that break.Betrayed is not an easy read. It has a lot of emotion going on with a dark and twisted narrative that has you second guessing the characters and their motivations until you have no idea who anyone really is.Jewel comes across as a real person in a real situation she is trying to survive. And while I understand the need for her constantly explaining everything, it does get a bit distracting. I also truly hope Carl has something horrible happen to him. I don't care what it is so long as it is sufficiently horrible.I'm not happy with cliffhangers in general, however, this one works and I'm impatiently waiting for the next book to come out. (Why can't authors write as fast as I can read? And yes I'm always impatient when it comes to something I can't wait to read more of).

Jaye Frances gives very vivid details of the characters and the story. You get so absorbed that you can feel what Jewel and Annie are experiencing. I am looking forward to reading Book Two. Kudos to Jaye Frances.

By Tracy C The ultimate in betrayal combined with sensual aggression that titillates all possibilities of sexual exploration. With every twist, another advent that kept me on the edge, even beyond the end, as I eagerly look forward to reading the next book in this fast paced roller-coaster of passion and adventure.
