Healthy meals for those with celiac disease By MD2014 I recently purchased this book after I spent 20 min in the store looking at the recipes and realized that the meals are simple and healthy. I do not have time to slave away in the kitchen but I always make it a point to eat healthy and this book combines easy ingredients/directions into deliciously healthy meals. What I like most about the book is that it uses ingredients you can easily find in any store (not obscure items that I can only use once), the recipes are not substitutes for the gluten-containing variety (thus there are not a lot of dishes using grain flours) and almost every dish calls for olive oil (heart healthy and natural). The other bonus is that the book includes many pictures so you can get an idea of what it is supposed to look like. For dishes that require rice noodles or pasta you can substitute with miracle noodles (naturally GF) to decrease your calorie and carb load. These meals are easy to make and do not require a lot of time, the quantity is also perfect for 4-6 people or you can freeze portions. I highly recommend this book for anyone with celiac disease.

Upscale but still accessible By CeesMom This cookbook has some creative yet simple recipes for the gluten free eater, many of which are well suited to adults and entertaining. They feature seafood, good cuts of meat, hearty yet elegant soups and pastas, and creative flatbreads. While I don't feel the recipes are every night staples for a growing family, I do think many of them are useful for dinner parties, date night, or some other special occasion. They're also great if you just enjoy experimenting in the kitchen, especially because the instructions are clear and many recipes offer detailed color photos. The recipes also feature readily accessible ingredients to most GF cooks, which I appreciate, since some GF recipes have lengthy lists of exotic ingredients which can be hard to find. Overall, I think this is a good one to have in your GF library to help inspire creativity.

Decided to buy one for myself after seeing the great recipes, easy to follow instructions, and best of all, full page photos of the finished dishes. This is a great cookbook for anyone.
