Vampire Lust & Pixie Dust By Sapphyria I have also read/reviewed the other installments in the Josie Hawk Chronicles:Alabaster Nights, Book 0.5Crimson Beat, Book 0.6There very well could be Books 0.5 & 0.6 spoilers in my review of Book 1, Indigo Dawn. Due to the world and character building and references to such in Book 1, please make sure to read both of the novellas prior to picking up Indigo Dawn.Well, it's about time Josie got over herself and finally quit denying her feelings for Keller. Regardless of how exasperated she gets with him, Keller is her perfect match. The chemistry between Jose and Keller is unmistakable and I very much enjoyed their interactions throughout Indigo Dawn. Josie is a strong Huntress but having Keller around not only saves her from a violent demise or twenty but she also needs and deserves the attention and care Keller gives her.The overall atmosphere in Nashville is ominous despite the end of Ostara (my review of Crimson Beat explains Ostara). Josie and Keller forced Cross, Josie's arch nemesis and local vampire drug dealer, to sign a treaty, officially ousting him from the city. Yet, the evil in the town of Nashville continues to increase. There's something big going down - Josie and Keller and his Team can feel it growing. And whatever/whomever it is, is bringing it Josie's front door. When one of the local pixies, Esmeralda, surprises Josie and Keller in Josie's apartment nothing can prepare them for the assault on Josie's human side. The nightmare inducing drug the pixie bombards Josie with takes her on a trip no true drug addict should ever want to take - unfortunately, the bodies keep stacking up. Someone is dealing this deadly Pixie Dust to the humans in Josie's city and she, and Keller and his Team, must figure out who's behind the attack.I love Josie Hawk. She's spirited, strong, and lives, if for nothing else, but to protect her human inhabitants from the paranormal predators. She's also very stubborn - almost to the point of provoking intentional harm to her person. This isn't a character flaw, however; it reinforces her compassion for others way above herself.I also love Keller - He's Irish with a lilt - how can anyone not love that. He's fiercely protective of Josie and the rest of his team, including his sister, Sage, who co-owns Wolfie's with Josie. He's strong and very masculine, appealing to Josie on so many levels; partner, sexual, team member, just to name a few.The band members of Crimson Beat are also very important assets to the story. Matthew, Lucian (Luc), Alex, & Grant are part of the Team that the Assembly assigns to Keller to help Josie take control of the city. They help patrol the streets at night, ridding the town of anything that proves to be a menace. There also seems to be a little matchmaking going on in the shadows - I hope that continues into the next novel/novella with the two couples that have been identified. As in the previous novellas, part of Indigo Dawn is told from Keller's 3rd person POV and part is told from Josie's 1st person POV. This gives the novel a uniqueness that allows both characters to shine without dimming the star power of the other. I can't wait to see where the author takes us next. Please Note: This book contains "adult scenes" and is not suitable for the under 18 crowd.Review copy courtesy of the author, at no cost, in exchange for an honest review.

You cannot help but be drawn in from page one. I definitely think that reading the novella's helped set the scene for Indigo Dawn and this book did not disappoint!I love the explanation of the title Indigo dawn - it really is beautiful. You'll need to read it to appreciate it. It's one of those passages that you can picture so clearly and it touches your heart.Characters & Storyline: 4/5Every single character is easy to connect to and easy to love. Elle creates interesting characters that are fun and crawl into your heart.I really enjoyed the fact that Josie and Keller were already a couple. They didn't need to figure it all out and were not trying to save each other, just protective and possessive. They are already a team and that adds so much more to the story for me.Josie - Josie is so kick ass! I love her feistiness & attitude. Yes - she is stubborn, but it is not that annoying pull out your hair stubborn. She holds out just enough and knows when she is being unreasonable. I love being in Josie's mind and her attitude made me laugh so many time. Josie's character is written from the first person pov.Keller - Keller us so cool, calm, collected & passionate! He just oozes smexiness and is head over heals in a good way for Josie. Their banter cracked me up and the romance is intense with a few steamy scenes. What's not to love.. Keller is a sexy vampire who is crazy about Josie and is the drummer in a band? Keller's character is written in the third person pov.Crimson Beat - Crimson beat is Keller's band that plays at Wolfie's in the evenings. They also help Josie keep the streets of Nashville safe. Each member adds flavour to the story and all adore Josie to bits - they would do anything for her!Plot, Pace, Writing style: 4/5Elle has an easy writing style and the story flowed easily. The plot was good, even if I did figure out a few things before the time - I enjoyed the ride. The change in pov style didn't bug me in the least. I enjoy Elle's writing style and it just works for me! I was annoyed that I kept getting interrupted when reading this story, this had nothing to do with the story though.Elle ended Indigo Dawn on a rounded note with lots to work on in books to come - no cliffhanger here.Cover talk: 5/5I love this cover! I love it so much I want a copy for my bookshelf one day... It would look so beautiful Indigo Dawn (The Josie Hawk Chronicles Book 2), by Elle J Rossi
