Fresh and funny take on Supernatural Detective Genre By Amazon Customer Really enjoyed this collection of short stories about Vinnie De Soth, Jobbing Occultist. The lead characters are engaging and likable and supported by a cast of oddball accomplices and suitably nefarious villains. This is a collection that manages feel fresh and interesting in what is a pretty over-saturated genre whilst still bringing all the expected elements. It doesn't take anything too seriously and although there is a bit of gore and some romance there's nothing to really offend (at least I didn't think so). It's good light entertainment with quirky characters and humor.I particularly like short stories because I don't need to stay up all night to find out how it ends but these were pretty addictive. There is a good story arch across the collection as we learn more about Vinnie and the people around him. Things reach a satisfying climax in the final story and left me wanting more.Definitely recommend this book and I hope to read more about Vinnie soon.

Good book By Jim2 A collection of short stories about a magician who in the book does not practice much magic, the main character reminds me a lot of Dr. Who, I would be interested if anyone else notices a connection. I haven`t finished the book yet but so far it is quite good.
