About the Author ROSE BARNUM, using an alias, toured the world as a featured dancer for the Radio City Rockettes while at the same time spying for the Central Intelligence Agency. When she retired from the Rockettes, she continued to work for the CIA under the code name “Lamplighter,” making exquisite, hand beaded Victorian-styled lampshades with “bugs” inside of them, which she sold to foreign embassies and dignitaries. Before Rose passed away, she stored 250 of her lampshades in a secret underground bunker and, as per her wishes, they are now available for sale to the general public. “Bugs” will be removed upon request. LES BARNUM, a prominent brain surgeon, was kidnapped, flown halfway around the world, and forced to operate on a brutal Middle Eastern dictator. During the surgery, Les had a sneezing fit and the dictator now has permanently crossed eyes. Currently, Les is hiding in the same underground bunker where Rose’s lampshades are stored.

Mudflap and his team has some zany adventures along the way as he struggles to bring recognition to underappreciated gophers everywhere. I love the characters and now have a new found love for gophers. I highly recommend this to everyone, young and old. There is plenty to enjoy.
