By all appearances, Coralie Cabot seems to have it all. Pedigree? Check. Money? Check. The right boyfriend, a ‘nice’ guy hand-picked by her father? Check. Everything is going along according to plan. There’s only one problem. It’s not her plan. Coralie’s safe, predictable life has all but been decided for her, and that leaves her itching to take a walk on the wild side. Enter Devlin Masters, an elite male escort whose sole purpose is giving Coralie whatever her heart desires. As though he knows her down to her core, Devlin says and does all the right things—far better than her so-called Mr. Right back home. Hello, Mr. Wrong! For a price, she can sow her wilder oats with this sexy ‘bad boy,’ no strings attached. Pretty soon the question isn’t, “Should a good girl have sex with a naughty hottie for hire . . .” It’s, “Will she ever want to stop?” In Book One of a sizzling new saga from author Ginger Voight, MASTERS FOR HIRE blends the line between fantasy and reality with all the drama, angst, sex, and romance that made THE GROUPIE and FULLERTON FAMILY SAGAS beloved amongst her fans. Intended for readers 18+ for graphic sexual content.

It’s Not The Sex That Gives The Pleasure, But The Lover By Jami Leigh Coralie Cabot was born into wealth, her family owns the upscale Cabot’s Department store. She is the brand manager for the store and is being groomed to one-day take over. The main problem with her taking over is that her father feels that her body doesn’t fit into the standard women’s sizing nor his ideal of what a woman’s body should look like. He refuses to let her expand the sizing in their store as well, forcing her to feel frumpy in the clothing they do provide. She is also in a relationship with a man who has been hand picked by her father, who happens to be the VP of Cabot’s and who couldn’t be farther from what Coralie wants or needs. Her best friend since kindergarten, Lucy, recommends she hire a man to make her feel wanted and to give her a fantasy experience. That man is Devlin Masters, a high-priced escort with a hard body and beautiful green eyes. He knows how to give his clients exactly what they want, but when Coralie hires him, he realizes that she is different and within the week they are together, they both realize that their relationship is anything but business as usual.I am so on the fence with this book. It was good, I mean it really was, but it just wasn’t for me. When Coralie finally decided that she'd had enough of being nice and taking care of everyone else but her self, I wanted to cheer for her. She goes out and takes what she wants. I felt that this book is kind-of a pretty woman-type, but Devlin is the one who is getting paid. It even ends similarly, however there is a book 2 and 3, so we don’t know the whole story between Coralie and Devlin in this book. I liked Lucy when she wasn’t whining about her wedding and the interactions between her and Coralie were very well written, I believed their connection and relationship. There was a lot of drinking, smoking, and talking about being fat, OMG! I ended up glossing over so many parts in this book when Coralie would start going off about how she didn’t fit into normal sizes and how awesome her boobs were and just on and on incessantly about her father’s store not carrying extended sizes. I did not understand the hash tags sporadically placed through the book. Oh, and let me say, I would have “fallen in love” with anyone in that situation with all the sex and alcohol, I mean really.~ARC from Publisher through NetGalley for Honest Review~

Enjoyable for chick lit fans, not so much for me By Annika 2.5 starsMy first impulse after finishing this book was to rate 2 stars as I usually round down when I want to give half a star. I can't really say I enjoyed it. Most of the time I struggled to get through it and I found myself skimming whole passages. Then, I took a few minutes to ponder some more and came to this conclusion: technically, the book per se wasn't half bad. Nice writing (albeit very strangely formatted, though I figure that was just the ARC version I received), well characterized protagonists, a decent plot.I'm just not into chick lit. I really couldn't care less about some privileged high-class chick's weight problems and her best friend's huge-ass wedding.I felt like 50% of this book is spent dress shopping, talking about dress shopping or about what an ordeal it is for a plus size girl to go dress shopping. Another 25% is spent drinking champagne and hashtagging. There were things I liked in this book, though, hence the 2.5 stars. Devlin was a dirty-talking, alpha hottie, but a nice one. I loved him. CC had a few lucid moments aswell. The way she stood up against her father was cool. I liked Lucy, too, when she wasn't whining about her wedding. She and Gus together were totally sweet. The sexy scenes were well-written and pretty hot. The premise was intriguing - I seem to have a little thing for the escort/ callboy hero trope. Now and then, I even enjoyed the detailed descriptions of some of the dresses. Just not all the time and with every damn piece of clothing she lays her eyes on.Which brings me to my dislikes. Too much description of clothes and surroundings! Repetitive writing (there were certain idioms that kept showing up - Devlin's 'hardening body' (what?); 'I/he/she couldn't ... if I/he/she wanted'; and, most annoyingly, CC's 'traffick-stopping tits'). The far too quickly developing love story - quite ridiculous, really. I hated all the hashtags. What was the point of that? And, of course, the whole chick lit-typical themes and tone. All in all, this book just wasn't my cuppa.Had I known this is chick lit, I wouldn't have read it. But I guess you can't fault a genre for being what it is, so that didn't influence my rating.

In Masters for Hire, she wrapped a compelling story around two characters who'd likely never have met if not for one wanting to shake things up a bit. And that meeting created quite a stir!Coralie Cabot doesn't fit the mold of society's ideal when it comes to her body and fashion which is a source of constant consternation for her and her father since the Cabot family owns the upscale Cabot's Department Store. Since she doesn't fit in body-wise, she makes an art out of fitting in - not making waves - everywhere else. When she decided she'd had enough of nice and acting on everyone else's wishes but her own, I cheered. Because Coralie is just like us, even if she is wealthy. She wants to feel good about herself...she wants to be liked and desired for who she is just as she is. And I think most of us can identify with that. So her character resonated strongly with me.Devlin Masters is a high-priced escort. He knows just how to give his clients exactly what they want. And when Coralie hires him, he thinks it'll be business as usual. But she's different - makes him feel different. Suddenly it's feeling like anything but business as usual between them.Masters for Hire is kinda like Pretty Woman in reverse. Devlin pulls at your heartstrings despite being paid to have a silver tongue. I, like Coralie, found myself drinking in his every word even though we both question them. And of course we're pulling for Coralie and Devlin because they both deserve happiness. Right? I won't lie though - the deck is stacked against them. It remains to be seen if the feelings that result from their whirlwind courtship can sustain them.Ms. Voight surrounded Coralie and Devlin with a strong couple in Lucy and Gus. I love Lucy's brashness in particular. The other cast members have strong foundations and I look forward to seeing them better fleshed out.A minor issue I had with the story is all the champagne drinking that occurred along with references to smoking pot. It's a minor complaint and it's not that I'm opposed to either of these things but it seemed immature and irresponsible - and not quite in character for Coralie. (Note: I read an ARC. This may have been changed and/or removed in the final edit.)Overall, I'm once again impressed with Ms. Voight's storytelling. She masterfully weaves together a captivating story with characters to fall for and wraps in relevant social subtext. I'm eager to see how Coralie and Devlin make their relationship work. Bring it on, Ms. Voight!**I received a complimentary copy in exchange for an honest review.**
