Teddy, of course, tripped all of my protective instincts and I felt so bad for him and Scott, the only two omega wolfhounds in existence, as the scientists killed all of the others deeming them too weak and useless. And, regardless that Smith and Logan have no love lost between them, I liked and respected Logan for hiding and protecting the two omegas all of this time.Smith and Teddy were super adorable and very hot together. Although I was sad about what happened to Scott when they were all captured, I was happy that once they escaped, Smith was able to convince them to return to Max's pack. Yay!Looking forward to the next book.

This third installment got me eager to read the remaining books in the series. This story picked up at the end of the second book, COME WITH ME NOW. A new pack of Rogue Wolfhounds had not only invaded the Lodge, but had taken Wolf shifter mates of the resddent Alphas hostage for leverage. Smith one of the Lodge Alpha Wolfhounds offered himelf as an substitute hostage so that Max and that the other Lodge residents woud not go after the escaping pack.Being a hostage is not a true hardship for Smith because he has actually discovered his mate within the new pack who turns out to be a rare male Omega Wolfhuound.The male Omega Wolfhound is rare because they are routinely as a matter of course killed when they are discovered in the Lab where they are created & bred. The Alphas are bred to hate, hunt, and kill Wolf shifters. The Omegas are not part of that plan. Unfortunately they are expendable. When discovered they are experimented on and killed.The Alphas often try to hide and care for the Omegas knowing their doomed fate. It makes it amazing that Logan, Griffin and Hyde were able to protect and escape the Lab with two adult Omega Wolhounds.At the end of the second book I did not like the members of Logan's pack. They were big, cruel, invaders. Trying to use their size and rough methods of coercion and to garner compliance from Max's pack - I wasn't looking forward to reading about this pack. Boy was I wrong! They turned out to be good guys after all. WHAT?!The harsh life they led on the run in the forest from Humans determine to recapture them, was still preferable to going back to the Lab. They had to be careful and quiet as they tried to find food & avoid getting recaptured. The small pack is fiercely loyal to each other, actually considering one another friends. They are very protective of each other. Even against the Outsider mate of one of them.Having a mate is very important even among Rogue Wolfhounds. Logan's pack recognizes Smith's right to be with their little Omega, Teddy. But they are not happy. Smith is a former member of a despicable pack of Wolf Shifters out to annihilate and eviscerate Logan's Wolfhounds. They are seen as equally as bad or worse than the Humans running the Labs. They could NEVER imagine returning to the Lodge. But Smith wishes he could give his little Omega a true sanctuary, with regular hot filling meals, clean clothes, and the showers that are at the Lodge offers.......But it will be done over Logan, Griffin, and the huge Hyde's dead bodies.I can't wait to read Book number 4 and 5.
