When trapper Levi Johnson finds a young woman unconscious and injured near his cabin on the side of a mountain, he takes her home and nurses her back to health. He thinks this is the woman he needs to keep him company for the long, cold winter ahead. But the no-nonsense mountain man isn't prepared for the feisty and sassy young lady who regains consciousness in his bed. Josie Thomson was running from an unwanted arranged marriage when she finds herself in a cabin deep in the woods, with a stern man who puts her over his knee whenever she doesn't do exactly as she's told to do exactly when she's told to do it. Levi requires obedience from his woman and this one is no exception. She'll learn to mind him or wear out his firm hand in the process. Publisher's Note: The Mountain Man and the Runaway is an erotic romance novel that contains sexual scenes and spankings, including domestic discipline in a historical setting. If such material offends you, please don't buy this book.

By Amazon Kindle Junky I liked it.Heroine starts off being very bratty and childish. She makes some pretty TSTL decisions and ends up lost. The hero finds the heroine lost in the mountains and quickly takes her before they come looking for her. He is a lonely widow that has been morning the loss of his wife for years now. He sees this as an opportunity to finally he can't miss. He moves quickly because he wants children and misses having female companionship. Being loner in the mountains doesn't allow for much access to courting a female so he pretty much has regresses to caveman tactics.Of course, the heroine is not going to take this laying down. She attempts to fight it but is no match for this rugged, dominant alpha. He does what erotica books call "priming" the female. He does a pretty good job about it and has heroine soon craving him;)The romance between them grows over time. The hero does make sure heroine is well taken care for from beginning, even though hero had no love for heroine at first. He fears losing her like his wife, and realizes mountain life is hard for females. There is some misunderstandings that come about from lack of communication and dangers in the mountains to lead to some conflicts. But not to worry this is HEA romance novel. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because I wanted more of how their love grows, and maybe attach that to some tender love scenes. Anyways, it was good and I bought it to read again. I would recommend it if you like domestic discipline, kidnapping, widower learning to love again, bratty heroine growing up, some erotica with "priming" in the romance, and the romance growing btw the main characters.
