Review "This is the first book I've read by Dianne Harman, and I am Very happy that I did so ! ;) The story of Sheriff Mike and his new wife Kelly (plus the two dogs, of course) , is such a great read and quite honestly I look forward to getting the rest of the books in this series. While I don't remember ever doing a book review here before, I just had to say how happy I am with my purchase ;) Murder in Calico Gold is a book that I am quite happy to recommend, and I love the fact that while it is # 6 in the series it easily stands alone as well.. I know that most reviews on Amazon seem to include the description of the books from the book page, but I don't think anyone that is checking reviews will not have already read those, or maybe I'm lazy, so decided not to do that. Oh, and the recipes included are great as well !!! Enjoy."
About the Author Dianne Harman draws her stories and characters from a diverse business and personal background. She owned a national antique and art appraisal business for many years, left that industry, and opened two yoga centers where she taught yoga and certified yoga instructors. She's traveled extensively throughout the world and loves nothing more than cooking with her husband and playing with their boxer dog, Kelly.Being a dog lover and having attended numerous cooking schools, she couldn't resist writing about food and dogs. High School Writing At Best By Lucille57 I have read the series of these books, and while I enjoy the story lines, there are some things about the writing that are like fingernails on a chalkboard. First of all, the dialogue between characters is absolutely ridiculous. Who talks like that in normal conversations??? And please, please, please enough with the "mentally crossing fingers behind back" crap!!!
