2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Jinxed ROCKS... By cinnamon I freakin love this story. Jinxed is the second book in the Rock Series, and I was really looking forward to Jinx’ story. It was totally worth the wait. Sandrine has found the perfect tone and style for this new series. I felt a little uncertainty during Fret (the first book), but all the issues I’d had disappeared. The writing is flawless again, the story just flows effortlessly. I enjoyed every page of it.Jinx and Jayden’s story begins in the first book with their chance meeting at the mall when Jayden is fangirling all over Jinx. The prologue says it all so new readers do not miss a thing. I really enjoy that although their story is pretty basic, there are certain elements that make this book special. Like their second encounter… wow… never read anything like that before!!! The chemistry between them is sizzling from the beginning and the tension coming their way just makes it all the more sparkling.The writing is so amazing that you find yourself in the world of the music business. You are taken to an enjoyable ride along with these two talented musicians, getting a glimpse in the lives of rock stars. We see they are ordinary people with extraordinary talent in an unordinary situation. All the details are perfectly constructed together. The amount of research the writer had done absolutely pays off, from the songs they play, the instruments they use, the places they visit, up till the language they speak. I enjoyed their banter a lot. The conversation among these guys is very real, very lifelike. I love the humor woven in the story. I just found myself laughing out loud many times, snickering some more. The double first person alternating POV is very well written and gives us the chance to really get to know our guys. All the secondary characters are great and lovable, giving you a feeling that you are part of this amazing group of friends. Sandrine is also a master series writer. We already feel strongly for Achilles and Hayden and are intrigued and excited to read their story.I literally couldn’t put it down and cannot wait for the next installment. Jinxed (ROCK SERIES) By KathyMac Reviews Jinx is well known to everyone as a ladies man, but recently he has been thinking about what it would be like to have sex with a guy. He even goes as far as renting some porn to see what it's all about. When he decides to hit up a gay bar, he gets more than he bargained for.Jinx carries a lot of baggage from his younger days and from his father. Two of the main reasons for his rude behavior and it's gonna take some groveling on his part if he wants to make a go with Jayden.Jayden has never hid his sexuality and he's not going to start. He knows what he wants and he works hard to get it. One of my favorite parts in this story is Jayden playing on stage completely lost in his own world and Jinx watching from afar. I really loved Jayden as I'm sure you will, as well. Jinx has to work a little harder to win me over.I'm not sure if I liked this story better than Fret. I really really love Gareth so I'm thinking Fret is my favorite so far. However. Harley's story is next and I have a feeling it will move to the top of this series. I am really looking forward to his story.
1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Bad boy Jinx! By ExtremelyPicky2 Loved it! I was laughing out loud in some places. Sandy does have a way with words, "the just got laid parade". Priceless! I liked that Jayden gave as good as he got. He didn't take crap from Jinx. Yes he did give it up but he knew when to walk away, make Jinx face his past and work for it. Watching/reading Jinx fall was funny, frustrating, pissifying and heartwarming. The performance sounded fab! (I know it's a story.) I'm glad Jayden had loyal friends since his parents needed a wake up call. The Skull Blasters and the London Boys could probably get into a lot of fun trouble together. We got to see Ransom tongue tied. Aaaahhh.Looking forward to Harley's story. It seems like it will be more emotional.Thank you Sandy for another wonderful story.
