1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Good book By Logan & Danielle Mendivil I got this book Menzuo The Calling of The Sun Prince and it was a great book, a quick read. I read it and as soon as I was done my 11 year old son read it. Really good book for both adults and children! This book was about Jammal Hall who is just eleven years old when he finds out his life on Earth is more important than he could ever imagine. A week before his twelfth birthday, which happens to be his age of destiny, many secrets are revealed to him—including the news that he’s from another planet and his earthly parents are not his birth parents. Jammal, who is actually Prince Menzuo: Universal Protector, must rely on his guardian, Solar, if he is to survive combat training in order to prepare to face his arch nemesis: the deadly Pirate Warrior, Morbid. As Prince Menzuo begins to understand just how important he is in protecting the planet and the power of All Good and Evil, he must also face the challenge of trying to live a normal life while participating in a virtual reality tournament with his best friends. I would recommend this book because it is good and interesting and kids love it!~ I did receive this book in exchange for my honest review.~

It took me a while to sit down and start reading but when I did I was surprised at the world the author created. The author does a good job of creating a world that is detailed and filled with its own stories and histories. There is so much going on in the background that the story feels real. Everything is connected in this story and I love how every action that happens in the story makes you want to know more about the history. There are so many things I would love to know about this world. I look forward to future books and joining Menzuo on his journey to become a true warrior!

Definitely family-friendly with lots of adventure and action, sure to ignite any kid's imagination. I would say this book is appropriate for middle grade ages and even elementary ages. However, all ages can find something to cling to while reading this book. I would also highly recommend this read for parents of boys who have lost interest in reading--this is something they'll truly love! Can't recommend this book enough! 5 out of 5 stars.
