6 of 6 people found the following review helpful. Predictable mage coming of age, but well told! By crpgnut Outside of some grammar issues, this is a very well told story. It is your typical, coming of age, super mage tale, but the author has a wonderful cast of characters surrounding the main protagonist and you get to know several of them very well. Anyone who likes stories about mages will enjoy this tale and it is G or PG all the way through. It is also a good story for horse lovers and those who enjoy teen angst. I would prefer a story with characters who are adults, but there's no reason to knock this book because of that.

Solidly within the genre but with some fresh characters and twists to keep it interesting. I liked the characters and their development.Great value for the price, because it is a great book. I hope the author is diligently finishing up subsequent books, while reread this one
