Not just a piece of paper By Old Dave's Romance Revue Waking up to find that she's married to Alexander King was not part of the plan that our titular character, Margo Buchanan (a.k.a. The Feisty Princess of Manhattan) had in mind when she decided to cut loose and have a few drinks the night before. But judging by the huge rock fastened to her finger, and the matching ring on Alexander's, who, by the way is sleeping equally naked in the same bed as her, that would appear to be what they got up to.She's not that sure though, because she can't remember, and once he wakes up, neither can he. The ever helpful Yamada, Alexander's long time friend assures them that's exactly what they did however.This new wrinkle in an already tumultuous relationship only serves to complicate things between Margo and Alex even further than they were.Both still have millions to lose if they can't foil the other's plans. Both are still struggling to stay focused on that goal now that they've given in to their mutual attraction. Even though they're business rivals who rub each other the wrong way and manage to push each other's buttons at every opportunity, they take time out to rub each other the right way and find out that they're seriously compatible at that kind of rubbing.Now they're married, and what was confusing becomes even more so.Slightly shorter than its predecessor, at only 83 pages, Feisty Princess by Michelle A. Valentine, part two of her three part 'Sexy Manhattan Fairytale' again manages to pack quite a lot into that small package.Having already been introduced, both of the main characters are developed and fleshed out even more. Similarly minor characters get a share of the spotlight and subplots get explored, and a few new minor characters are introduced.Maintaining the practice of telling the story from dual POVs, not rigidly chapter by chapter, but as suits the story, this book also finds time to be, in places, much sweeter than the first as, for both major characters, we get to see a little more behind the masks that each wear in public. That said, there are still fireworks going off whenever these two get together, so take care not to get burnt.Once again a fun, light, racy story that has left me eagerly awaiting the conclusion, Dirty Royals, which Michelle says is 'Coming Soon'.Can't wait.

I have been patiently waiting for the follow-up to Naughty King and let me tell you all now, Feisty Princess was totally worth the wait. Though I usually don’t gravitate towards this new, shorter, more fast paced series, I have to admit that I adore Ms. Valentine’s Sexy Manhattan Fairy tale series because of how extremely well done it is. While it gets right down to the nitty gritty, Michelle Valentine doesn’t hold back on the content and doesn’t compromise her writing style or the development of each of her characters. She somehow allows the reader to be fully invested in not only the story but also the characters. You fall in love with them in a shorter amount of pages and I think that’s pretty a pretty remarkable thing to be able to do. So, bravo Michelle!The second book to this series definitely had my heart pumping and my palms sweating because it’s getting to the point where you see just how blurred the lines are getting between Margo and Alexander. I know. I just know that it’s going to get so much more interesting as these lines continue to blur and how one will react to the other, trying to convince one another when the time comes for them to admit just how real their feelings for each other are. These two characters make the “cat and mouse” game so much more exciting, not to mention incredibly sexier because they are both two people who take such pleasure in control and so when they lose all sense of control, well it becomes so, so good.Margo who is smart as a whip, sassy, and sexy as heck combined with Alexander King, chiseled to perfections with a business minded brain who can make any girl (or guy) lose their ability to think by simply being in the same room. They are a deadly pair and I swear Michelle Valentine takes full advantage of that. That limo scene… Whoa mama! That one had my thighs clenching and my heart going bump, bump, bump. The best part? I love how they both find so much pleasure in knowing that they are the ones causing unadulterated want for the other. So damn hot.I cannot wait to see how this all unfolds. I have no doubt that Michelle will give us something all to talk about long after the last page of this highly entertaining, fast paced, funny, and sensually inducing series.

When we last left King and Margo they had just gotten married in Vegas and were at each others throats. See these two do not get along, they hate each other with a passion or do they.Alexander is always a man with a plan and annulling his marriage as soon as possible is his first plan. He doesn’t need his Vegas shenanigans getting back to the board of directors. He doesn’t think annulling the marriage will be an issue until he learns it won’t be so easy since they consummated the marriage. After realizing this little “problem” won’t just go away he has to take an alternate route. Now he must convince the board and the general public the marriage is real.Margo is a strong, independent and intelligent woman. She doesn’t plan to just follow through without something in return. King makes and offer that Margo cannot refuse, but what happens when they both get more than the bargained for.This series just keeps getting better! In Naughty King I fell for King and loved how the sexiness and intrigue. Feisty Princess just increased my intrigue and the ending made me squee with excitement! These characters are seriously so fun, they are so much alike that it hinders their relationship, both are stubborn and competitive. I love how Michelle has developed characters who are both strong willed and determined, but not annoying. I am completely sold on this series and just need more!!
