While this story is powerful, and stands well on its own, it does tie into The Sidhe series, answering questions and with appearances from characters familiar to the fans of that series. Although, it should be noted, that you don't have to have read that series to read this one. Sin and Finley's story also allowed us to write something more along the lines of intense, action adventure YA (young adult), exploring the magic and the danger of this world through fresh eyes.Q: Who are you writing for?Archer: The young adult fantasy and action genre is popular not only with teenagers, but adults that enjoy that perspective of a young person coming-of-age in a difficult time, fighting to establish their identities, and make a difference in their world. Readers of series like Divergent, the Maze Runner, and Mortal Instruments love these types of books that will keep them reading well into the night because they just have to see what will happen next. This book was full of twists and turns and the ending was a blast. I loved the way there is a tie in to Lugh and the Mounds, it makes you glad you read or makes you want to read the other Sidhe series and see how well they tie in. This series on its own is awesome and the ending just pierces your heart and is so unexpected but totally awesome! Great series and characters leaving you hungry for more!
