Excellent story, and certainly the best horror graphic novel I've read. This is a worthy purchase if you don't own Locke and Key already.I decided to wait until the inevitable Deluxe Edition to purchase the series, and I am happy with the print quality and construction of the book. But what about those who already own the complete 6 volumes already? Is it worth upgrading?No, it is not.The book is about 1/3" wider and a a bit over 3/4" taller than the original 6 volume hardcovers. There are no extra features that weren't already in the original hardcovers. So really, all you'd be getting is slightly bigger pages. Thus, it's not worth repurchasing if you already own the series - you're just burning money.

My only gripe was that I had to send the first one back because the spine was all broken, even though the item was well packed in the mailing box. Looked like the paper that makes up the hard cover was too stiff and cracked where it was supposed to bend. Second item came in better condition but looks as if it could split if handled too roughly.

By sihz I had the two trades which are contained in this deluxe hardcover edition but since I loved the series so much I simply knew I had to upgrade. And I'm very happy that I did. As mentioned elsewhere there don't seem to be any additional material but my main motivation is to have the story and art in a nice-looking oversize collection. This serves the purpose admirably. I'm eagerly awaiting the rest of the series in this format.
